KUNDALINI YOGA

I discovered Kundalini yoga, completely by chance, almost by mistake. At the beginning of the first class I was really skeptical and a little disconcerted by the mantra chanted in Gurmukhi, like magic incantations. But at the end of this first class, I was literally transported, it was an illumination: I had really felt a new energy fill my body and my mind. The kriya (series of postures) allowed me to feel the energy in the movement, the pranayama (breathing) helped me to calm my mind and the mantra raised me above my thoughts, finally mastering a form of meditation that suited me. COURSE OF A LESSON

We begin with a short welcome mantra. We continue, with musical background, with a series of warm-up exercises: these are traditionally spinal flexions or sometimes sun salutations or more simply a breathing exercise (pranayama).

We then do a Kryia, which is a series of exercises that respond to a particular purpose according to the title of the series (strengthening the aura, resistance to illnesses, opening the respiratory channels, etc.).

This is followed by relaxation (Shavasana) accompanied by a Tibetan gong or other music. The final meditation may be accompanied by a mantra or breathing.ti

CHAKRA FIT

Kunda dance is an alignment of the chakras through a conscious but very playful dance invented by Maya Fiennes, world-renowned in the world of kundalini yoga and whom I particularly admire and love. I was inspired by it to create CHAKRA FIT which is a mix of kundalini yoga, cardio exercises and Asian meditation in movement in order to connect to our vital energy.
